Borussia Dortmund vs. Hoffenheim 2/13/21 Bundesliga Soccer Pick, Odds, and Prediction

Borussia Dortmund is hosting Hoffenheim at Signal Iduna Park in round 21 in the German Bundesliga.

Borussia is still struggling despite the immense quality they have, and every time I think these struggles are over, Borussia losses a game. In their last Bundesliga game, Borussia was playing against Freiburg on the road, and they were solid with 68% of ball possession, 6 shots on goal, 1 corner kick, 1 big chance created, and a solid 87% of the correct passes. The first half ended in a 0-0 draw, but Freiburg got ahead with 2 quick goals at the start of the second half. Borussia was able to score a goal in the 76th minute, but that was it from them. The final score was 2-1 in favor of Freiburg. Haaland has scored 14 goals for Borussia so far, but he has been struggling lately, and with that, Borussia is struggling as well. Sancho added 3 goals and 6 assists so far this season. Hazard, Schmelzer, Zagadou, Witsel, Meunier, and Burki are all injured, and they will miss this game. Borussia is in low 6th place in the Bundesliga standings with 32 points, and the title race is over for them, but Borussia is still playing in the Champions League where they will face Sevilla next week.

Hoffenheim was on a 2-game winning streak, but they have now lost their last 2 games in a row. During their last 2 losses, Hoffenheim has scored only 2 goals while conceding massive 7 goals, and Hoffenheim is now in 12th place with 22 points, 30 scored goals, and 37 conceded goals. Kramaric is the leading goalscorer for Hoffenheim with 13 goals, while Bebou added 4 goals and 3 assists. Bicakcic, Hubner, Geiger, Akpogumu, Rutter, Stafylidis, and Sessegnon are all injured, and that has had a huge impact on Hoffenheim’s game, in their last game against Eintracht Frankfurt at home, and they have had 46% of ball possession, 1 shot on target, 4 corner kicks, 2 big chances created, and 79% of the correct passes. This was a fun game, and the teams were pretty even, but Eintracht prevailed in the second half, and Hoffenheim has lost this match 1-3. The Europa League is now massive 13 points away from Hoffenheim, and I don’t think they will get there, but Hoffenheim is still playing in the Europa League this season where they will face Molde, and their only hope of playing in Europe next season is to win the Europa League, which is impossible for them.

Hoffenheim has had very little success against Borussia Dortmund on the road, but if they will ever beat them, it will be now because Borussia’s defense is terrible. This is a clash between two of the best strikers in Bundesliga, Haaland, and Kramaric, but I got to side with Borussia in this one because Hoffenheim does not look good. I think Hoffenheim can score some goals here, and for that reason, I will stick to the goals here.
