Jrue Holiday Is Still a Beast
Jrue Holiday may be one of the more underrated players in the NBA today. He is no longer in his 20s and he is the third option on a team with a superstar in Antetokounmpo, but he can still get it done in more ways than one. He is not a one-dimensional scorer and it has paid dividends so far this season.

One thing that sticks out about tonight’s game is the fact that only four teams in the NBA attempt more three-pointers on a per game basis than the Bucks. That is important because the Nuggets are bottom half of the league in opponent field goal percentage. So far this year, opponents are connecting at a 37.5% clip which is 18th in the association.
Holiday is shooting right at his career-highs in three-point attempts and three-point percentage this season. They are a big reason why he is only averaging three less points this season than last even though he is taking three less shots per game on average. In a game like tonight, he could take and make a few more attempts from three land which will elevate his points for the night.
One problem with taking Milwaukee players’ props is the risk of a blowout but that may not happen tonight. The Bucks are four point favorites tonight but they are in Denver. The Nuggets have not been blown out all season at home. If this game stays close enough for starters to play all of their minutes, then Holiday should go over his points plus assists total.

Only three teams in the NBA allow more assists per field goals made than the Nuggets. Milwaukee is in the middle of the pack when it comes to this metric as 60% of their field goals are assisted but could be in for a few more tonight. There is always a chance for more assists when a team struggles to cover the three-point line like the Nuggets. If Denver struggles in that area tonight, Holiday could be the beneficiary which will make him fly over his assist total.
