Burnley vs. Manchester United 2/8/22 Premier League Soccer Pick, Predictions, Odds

Burnley and Manchester United face off on Tuesday in an English Premier League showdown turf Moor.  When these two teams faced off on December 30th it was Manchester United that won 3-1. Manchester United had six shots on target and 58 percent of the possession.

Manchester United currently sits in 4th place having picked up 38 points so far this season. Manchester United is having a solid season, and they are coming off a couple of big Premier League victories. In the last game against West Ham, Manchester United was able to come away with the 1-0 victory. It was Marcus Rashford that scored the goal in the 93rd minute, to come away with a victory. Manchester United only had three shots on goal in that game. Manchester United has scored 36 goals total while their defense has given up 30 goals total. Cristiano Ronaldo has been the top player for Manchester United scoring eight goals and adding three assists. United is expected to get Bruno Fernades back for this game.

On the other side of this matchup is Burnely who currently sits in 20th place in the standings having picked up 13 points. Burnley has played to a couple of draws including two games ago against Arsenal. In the last game against Watford, Burnley only had two shots on goal, and they couldn’t find the back of the net. Burnley has scored 16 goals total while their defense has given up 27 goals total. Maxwel Cornet has been the top player for Burnley so far this year scoring six goals. There are three different players that have scored at least two goals.

Manchester United is a good team, but Burnley has been playing some good defense, and I expect their defense is going to keep this game close. I am not sure Burnley will win this game, but their defense will at worst make this game a draw. Back Burnley +0.5 at +155 to cash.
