Dallas Mavericks vs Los Angeles Lakers NBA Picks, Odds, Predictions 4/24/21

The Los Angeles Lakers and the Dallas Mavericks do battle once again at the American Airlines Center on Saturday night.

The Los Angeles Lakers have been in a bit of a rut as they’ve lost three of their last four games and they will be hoping to avoid a third straight loss after falling just short to the Mavericks in a 115-110 road loss on Thursday. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope led the team with 29 points on nine of 17 shooting, Dennis Schroder added 25 points with 13 assists while Andre Drummond chipped in with 14 points, 19 rebounds, three assists and three blocks. As a team, the Lakers shot 47 percent from the field and 10 of 30 from the 3-point line as they poured in 39 points to take the lead after trailing by as many as 13 points, before going ice-cold in the fourth quarter where they managed just 20 points.

Meanwhile, the Dallas Mavericks have been in decent shape as they’ve won nine of their past 14 games and they will be aiming for a third straight win following their narrow win over the Lakers on Thursday. Luka Doncic led the team with 30 points, nine rebounds and eight assists, Kristaps Porzingis added 19 points while Josh Richardson chipped in with 13 points. As a team, the Mavericks shot 48 percent from the field and nine of 24 from the 3-point line as they squandered a 13-point lead, before regrouping in the fourth quarter to escape with the hard-fought win.

I will update with betting trends once they become available.

The Lakers have been able to keep their heads above water despite the absence of two of their best players, but they will be kicking themselves after falling just short to the Mavericks on Thursday. It’s always tough to beat the same team twice in a row and Kristaps Porzingis is listed as questionable with an ankle sprain, but with the line so short, I’m sticking with Doncic and the Mavericks at home in this one.
