The Hornets have gotten a bit healthier recently, with LaMelo Ball and Malik Monk playing in each of the past two games. Still, they continue to deal with some key absences. Gordon Hayward remains out of the lineup with a foot injury, and while he’s officially shed his walking boot, he remains without a timetable for return.

Graham and Martin have also been ruled out for Tuesday’s matchup vs. the Pistons. Graham played 23.6 minutes in the Hornets’ last contest, while Martin played just 6.8 minutes before leaving with an injury. Miles Bridges led the team with 31.4 minutes on Sunday, and he should be looking at another expanded workload vs. the Pistons.

The Hornets are sitting at 31-33 on the season, and they’re currently in eighth place in the Eastern Conference. They’ve dropped a full 3.5 games behind the Heat, who currently hold the No. 6 spot in the standings. That means the odds of the Hornets qualifying for the playoffs while avoiding the play-in tournament are dwindling, and they’re currently listed at +138 to make the postseason on FanDuel Sportsbook.
