The Arizona Diamondbacks released their lineup on Thursday against the Rockies, and not listed is outfielder Ketel Marte. Marte had to be helped off the field after trying to beat out a ground ball in the sixth inning.

Initially, it looked like a potential hamstring injury, but it’s now being described as a cramp. Marte will undergo an MRI on Friday when the Diamondbacks return home to Arizona. The injury is a blow to a Diamondbacks lineup that has struggled to create runs this season. Arizona is 25th in league with a weighted runs created value (wRC+) of 73.
The Diamondbacks would be even worse without Marte’s bat in the lineup, as he’s been one of the few bright spots on the team. The Dominican native already has 12 hits in 26 at-bats on the season, with two home runs and five runs driven in.
Tim Locastro will replace Marte in center field and bat leadoff against Colorado’s Jon Gray, while Merrill Kelly will start for Arizona.
The Diamondbacks are underdogs today at Coors Field, and sharp bettors are fading them yet again. Colorado has been bet up from -125 up to -136 in the contest.
