LeBron James Ruled out Monday vs. Nuggets

The Lakers are dealing with a few key absences Monday vs. the Nuggets. Dennis Schroder is expected to miss the next 10-14 days as he goes through the league’s health and safety protocols. Now, James has also been ruled out on the second leg of a back-to-back. He returned to the lineup two games ago after suffering an ankle injury, but he aggravated that injury in Sunday’s loss to the Raptors. The Lakers are in jeopardy of losing a guaranteed spot in the playoffs — they would be the No. 7 seed in the West if the playoffs started today — but getting LeBron healthy is their biggest priority at the moment.

Anthony Davis should see the biggest boost in value on Monday. He’s increased his usage rate by +9.6% with LeBron and Schroder off the court this season, resulting in an average of 1.29 FanDuel points per minute. His playing time has also increased recently after he was initially limited upon his return to the lineup. Kyle Kuzma and Alex Caruso are also candidates to enter the starting lineup.

The Lakers are currently listed as five-point home-underdogs vs. the Nuggets on FanDuel Sportsbook.
