Lonzo Ball Questionable Monday versus Boston Celtics

It appears that Lonzo Ball is approaching his return to game action as he was upgraded to questionable ahead of the New Orleans Pelicans showdown with the Boston Celtics on Monday. Ball has missed the last four games with a hip injury. Jaxson Hayes is also listed as questionable after missing Saturday’s encounter with the Dallas Mavericks.

Stan Van Gundy is going to have a tough decision to make when Ball is cleared to play. Nickeil Alexander-Walker has been making meaningful contributions in Ball’s absence. The second-year player is averaging 18.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 2.5 assists over the last four games.

Alexander-Walker has out-produced his salary expectations in the DFS world, averaging 32.5 FanDuel Fantasy Points, while having a maximum salary of $5,300. Ball’s salary is listed at $6,600 while Alexander-Walker’s is $5,800 on tomorrow night’s main slate.

The Pels have won three of four without Ball in the lineup, with all three victories coming against teams in playoff positions.

The betting market implies that tomorrow night’s contest against the Celtics will be high-scoring as the total currently sits at 230.5. The Pels are listed as 4 point underdogs.
