The Syracuse Orange and the Louisville Cardinals meet in college basketball action from the KFC Yum! Center on Wednesday night.
The Syracuse Orange will be looking to build off of a 75-67 win over Boston College in their last matchup. Alan Griffin leads the Orangs in scoring with 15.8 PPG along with 6.8 RPG while Quincy Guerrier has 15.5 PPG with 9.1 RPG to lead Syracuse on the glass. Buddy Boeheim has 14.3 PPG with 3.1 APG and Marek Dolezaj has 10.8 PPG with 5.4 RPG and 3.3 APG while Joseph Girard III has 10.8 PPG as well with a team-high 3.6 APG to lead Syracuse in assists and to cap off the group of double-digit scorers for Syracuse up to this point in the year. As a team, Syracuse is averaging 76.6 PPG on 44.2% shooting from the field, 32.4% from 3-point land and 79% from the foul line while giving up 70.4 PPG on 40.9% shooting from the field and 30.8% from 3-point range this season.
The Louisville Cardinals will be out to build off of a 74-58 win over Georgia Tech in their last matchup. Carlik Jones leads the Cardinals in scoring and assists with 17.4 PPG and 4.9 APG to go along with 5.6 RPG while David Johnson has 13.1 PPG with 6.1 RPG and 3.4 APG and Jae’Lyn Wither has 10 PPG with a team-high 7.6 RPG to make up the trio of double-digit scorers for Louisville so far this year. Samuell Williamson also has 9.6 PPG with 7.5 RPG for Louisville this season. As a team, Louisville is averaging 69.5 PPG on 45.2% shooting from the field, 31.9% from 3-point range and 72.3% from the foul line while allowing 64.2 PPG on 40.1% shooting from the field and 30.9% from 3-point range this season.

I get why you could make the case for either side here as Syracuse has stepped up the offense this year and the zone defense is always an equalizer for the Orange. On the flipside, Louisville is still really talented and has a solid roster and is also really dangerous at home. With that said, I’m going to side with the under as I just have the feeling that this game plays out to a game that stays in the 60s on both sides and doesn’t get very close to hitting this number in the end.
