The Memphis Grizzlies play host to the New York Knicks at the FedExForum on Monday night.
The New York Knicks have been on a tear as they’ve won 11 of their past 12 games and they will be looking to stay hot after blowing past the Rockets in a 122-97 road win last night. Julius Randle turned it on late to finish with 31 points with seven rebounds and six assists on 13 of 22 shooting, RJ Barrett added 21 points with seven rebounds and five assists while Derrick Rose chipped in with an efficient 24 points on eight of 11 shooting off the bench. As a team, the Knicks shot 51 percent from the field and 18 of 35 from the 3-point line as they poured in 34 points to take the early double-digit lead, before making another push in the third quarter to push the lead past 20 points.
Meanwhile, the Memphis Grizzlies have been in a bit of a rut as they’ve lost five of their past eight games and they will be hoping to bounce back after falling painfully short to the slumping Magic in a 112-111 road loss on Saturday. Dillon Brooks led the team in scoring with 23 points on nine of 20 shooting, Ja Morant added 22 points with seven assists, Kyle Anderson scored 21 points while Jonas Valanciunas chipped in with 11 points, 16 rebounds and three blocks. As a team, the Grizzlies shot 45 percent from the field and 10 of 29 from the 3-point line as they dominated the first half and led by as many as 20 points, before collapsing in the fourth quarter where the Magic’s Cole Anthony drained the game-winning 3-pointer with just 0.1 seconds remaining.
I will update with betting trends once they become available.
The Grizzlies haven’t been anywhere near their best lately and their confidence must’ve taken a hit from their heartbreaking loss to the slumping Magic on Saturday, while the Knicks have been one of the hottest teams in the league and just made light work of the Rockets last night. Grayson Allen is listed as questionable for the Grizzlies, while Nerlens Noel will miss some time for the Knicks after his nasty fall last night. It was a 133-129 overtime loss for the Grizzlies the last time these two teams played so they’ll be looking for revenge, but I’m not going past these Knicks who are only building in confidence with every win.
