OG Anunoby A Late Scratch Versus Lakers

The Toronto Raptors starting lineup took another hit on news that OG Anunoby is being held out against the Los Angeles Lakers with a calf injury. The Raps were already without Fred VanVleet, who they are holding out as part of an injury management strategy relating to VanVleet’s hip injury.

Stanley Johnson starts in place of Anunoby, getting his seventh start of the season. Malachi Flynn has also been inserted in the starting lineup, replacing VanVleet.

Johnson’s fantasy upside is somewhat limited this season. As a starter, Johnson is averaging 5.5 points and 3.3 rebounds in 23:07 minutes. His metrics are improved over his recent sample, with Johnson putting up above average FanDuel Fantasy Points in three of his last four games. Cumulatively, Johnson has 60.3 fantasy points over those four games. numberFire has Johnson modestly projected for 11.0 fantasy points tonight. We could see Kyle Lowry take over with limited experience around him in the backcourt.

This line has shifted in favor of the Lakers. LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope are all in the lineup after initially being listed as Game Time Decisions. The Raps are currently listed as +9.5 underdogs against the Lakers at FanDuel Sportsbook.
