Oklahoma City Thunder vs Toronto Raptors NBA Picks, Odds, Predictions 3/31/21

The Toronto Raptors travel to the Chesapeake Energy Arena to battle the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday night.

The Toronto Raptors have been in a serious slump for a while now as they’ve lost 12 of their past 13 games and they will be hoping to put an end to a three-game skid after getting routed by the struggling Pistons in a 118-104 road loss on Monday. Fred VanVleet led the team with 22 points, OG Anunoby added 19 points, Gary Trent Jr. added 15 points with five assists while Pascal Siakam chipped in with 14 points and five assists. As a team, the Raptors shot just 40 percent from the field and 11 of 36 from the 3-point line as they couldn’t find their rhythm early on and quickly found themselves trailing by 16 points at halftime and things didn’t get much better in the second half where they fell behind by as many as 23 points.

Meanwhile, the Oklahoma City Thunder have been in a slump of their own as they’ve lost five of their past seven games and they will be hoping to arrest a three-game slide after getting routed by the Mavericks in a 127-106 home loss on Monday. Aleksej Pokusevski led the team with 21 points, Svi Mykhailiuk added 16 points on seven of 10 shooting while Theo Maledon chipped in with 14 points. As a team, the Thunder shot 46 percent from the field and nine of 26 from the 3-point line as they poured in 39 points in the second quarter to keep pace with the Mavericks, until the third quarter where they managed just 20 points.

Looking at the betting trends, the Raptors are 0-6 ATS in their last six road games, 0-6 ATS in their last six games against a team with a losing record and 1-5 ATS in their last six games overall. The Thunder are 1-4 ATS in their last five home games, 1-4 ATS in their last five home games and 2-5 ATS in their last seven games overall.

Head to head, the over is 7-1-1 in the last nine meetings overall, the Raptors are 2-5 ATS in the last seven meetings overall and the Raptors are 6-1 ATS in the last seven meetings in Oklahoma City.

The Raptors just haven’t looked like themselves this season and they’re coming into this one with almost no momentum as they’ve lost 12 of their past 13 games, while the Thunder have been in a funk of their own as they’ve lost five of seven as they’ve struggled without their best player in Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. It’s always tough to pick between two struggling teams, but the Raptors are 6-1 ATS in the last seven meetings in Oklahoma City and I think they finally get their long overdue win in this one.
