Oklahoma City Thunder vs Washington Wizards 11/26/2021 NBA Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Washington Wizards invade the Paycom Center to do battle with the Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday night.

The Washington Wizards have been in a rut as they’ve lost four of their past five games and they will be hoping to avoid a third straight defeat after getting routed by the slumping Pelicans in a 127-102 road win on Wednesday. Bradley Beal led the team with 23 points on 11 of 20 shooting,Raul Neto added 13 points off the bench while Spencer Dinwiddie chipped in with 11 points, eight rebounds and nine assists. As a team, the Wizards shot just 42 percent from the field and seven of 31 from the 3-point line, but they were slow to get going and were always fighting an uphill battle after allowing the Pelicans to explode for 72 points in the first half. Kyle Kuzma scored just seven points on two of four shooting while Davis Bertans finished with just three points on one of 10 shooting off the bench.

Meanwhile, the Oklahoma City Thunder have been in a serious slump as they’ve lost six of their past seven games and they will be hoping to arrest a four-game slide after falling short against the Jazz in a 110-104 home loss on Wednesday. Luguentz Dort led the team in scoring with 27 points on eight of 19 shooting, Josh Giddey added 19 points with seven rebounds and eight assists while Jerimiah Robinson-Earl chipped in with 13 points, 10 rebounds and four assists. As a team, the Thunder shot 45 percent from the field and 15 of 36 from the 3-point line as they came out firing and led by as many as eight points, but they couldn’t maintain that intensity and eventually fell in the fourth quarter as the Jazz closed the final 2:14 on a 9-3 run to steal the game late.

Looking at the betting trends, the Wizards are 1-5 ATS in their last six road games, 16-6-1 ATS in their last 23 games against a team with a losing record and 1-4 ATS in their last five games overall. The Thunder are 6-2 ATS in their last eight home games and 5-0 ATS in their last five games overall.

The Wizards were one of the surprise teams of the league at the start of the season, but they’ve cooled off recently with four losses in their last five games, so they need a win to get back on track in this one. The Thunder only have one win in their past seven games and it was against the league-worst Rockets, so that’s not much to write home about. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has already been ruled out for this one, so I’m sticking with the Wizards to bounce back with a much-needed win and cover in this spot.
