Phillies’ J.T. Realmuto Not In Thursday’s Lineup vs. Braves

The Philadelphia Phillies released their Thursday lineup against the Braves, and not listed is J.T. Realmuto. This is likely a scheduled rest for Realmuto, considering that this is a day game played after a night game.

Perhaps this scheduled day off is the only thing that can cool off the Phillies catcher. He’s hit two home runs in his last three games and boasts a .293/.406/.493 slash line. It’s not often that you see a catcher with an on-base percentage that’s above .400.

Andrew Knapp will fill in for Realmuto behind the plate and bat seventh in Philadephia’s series finale against Atlanta. In 81 at-bats, he’s only managed to produce a .160/.216/.210 slash line with one home run and nine RBIs.
