The Oklahoma City Thunder invade the Moda Center to take on the Portland Trailblazers on Saturday night.
The Oklahoma City Thunder have been in a real slump lately as they’ve lost four of their last five games and they will be hoping to bounce back after last night’s 140-103 road loss to the Suns. Theo Maledon led the team in scoring with 33 points on 10 of 18 shooting, Aleksej Pokusevski added 20 points with four assists while Josh Jackson chipped in with 15 points off the bench. As a team, the Thunder shot just 39 percent from the field and 15 of 38 from the 3-point line, but this game was over before it really began as the Thunder were already trailing by 30 points in the first quarter.
Meanwhile, the Portland Trailblazers have been in nice form as they’ve won seven of their past 10 games, but they will be looking to bounce back after getting thrashed by the Bucks in a 127-109 home loss last night. Damian Lillard led the team with 32 points and five assists on 10 of 19 shooting, CJ McCollum and Robert Covington each scored 18 points while Norman Powell chipped in with just 12 points on five of 15 shooting. As a team, the Trailblazers shot just 36 percent from the field and 21 of 54 from the 3-point line as they poured in 32 points to cut an early 13-point deficit to just six points at halftime, before getting blown out in the third quarter by 37-20 to trail, by as many as 24 points.
Looking at the betting trends, the Thunder are 36-17 ATS in their last 53 games as a road underdog and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 road games against a team with a winning home record.
The Thunder haven’t been able to get much going over their past five games or so without their best player in Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and their confidence must be low after getting destroyed by the Suns last night. The Trailblazers are coming into this one off a big loss of their own, but they were riding a four-game win streak before running into the Bucks and I think they get another streak started with a big win here.
