Nebraska opened up the year at 3-1, but they haven’t had much luck since then. The Cornhuskers fell to Georgia Tech and Creighton before getting a win over Doane in their following three games. Since then it’s been four straight losses for Nebraska; they’ve fallen to Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio State and Michigan State.

In the loss to the Spartans, Nebraska’s top scorer was Teddy Allen with 23 points, six rebounds and one assist. Trey McGowens managed 20 points with five rebounds and two assists, while Kobe Webster added 10 points with two boards for the Cornhuskers.

Over on the Boilermakers’ side, they began their season at 6-2, recoding a nice three-game win streak over Indiana State, Ohio State and Notre Dame in December. Since then it’s been a loss to Iowa, a win over Maryland and consecutive losses to Rutgers and Illinois for Purdue.

In the 66-58 loss to the Illini, the Boilermakers’ top performer was Trevion Williams with 14 points, eight rebounds and two assists. Brandon Newman also scored 14 points with five rebounds, and Sasha Stefanovic chipped in on nine points with three boards.

The Boilermakers are 0-3-1 ATS in their last four home games and 3-9-1 ATS in their last 13 Tuesday games. Purdue is 0-3-1 ATS in their last four games overall and the over is 17-8 in their last 25 overall.

Meanwhile, the Cornhuskers are 1-5 ATS in their last six road games and 5-2 ATS in their last seven Tuesday games. Nebraska is 4-11 ATS in their last 15 games overall and 0-6 ATS in their last six following an ATS win.

PICK: I’m going to take Purdue here. This one’s a tough pick however; it’s difficult to know where either team stands as they’ve had to make their way through a Big Ten gauntlet of great teams lately. Nebraska has played five ranked teams in their last six games, and Purdue has played three in their last four. The Boilermakers offense was shut down in the Illinois game, but this one should be a higher-scoring matchup on both sides. Should be an interesting game. I think Purdue can eke out a cover eventually but I expect this one to be fairly close for most of the game.
