On Wednesday, the Cincinnati Reds announced that they placed Sonny Gray on the injury list with a groin strain.

Gray lasted only three innings in his last start after experiencing tightness in his groin. An MRI later revealed a strained groin. The Tennessee native is expected to miss at least his next two starts with the injury.
Though he’s won one game this season, his 3.42 ERA and 1.30 WHIP are more than respectable.
Cincinnati is currently fourth in the NL Central—five games behind the division-leading Brewers. However, they’ll get a chance to trim that deficit in the second game of their series with Milwaukee on Wednesday night.
Milwaukee has had the upper hand in the series as they’ve won three of the four meetings with the Reds this season.
