Sammy Watkins won’t play for the Chiefs vs. Browns

Three weeks wasn’t enough time for Sammy Watkins to get healthy enough to suit up for the Chiefs. The former Bill was injured in Kansas City’s Week 16 win over the Falcons. Watkins did not practice at all this week and the Chiefs remained hopeful he would be able to play against the Browns. Without the receiver, Mecole Hardman, Demarcus Robinson, and Byron Pringle round out the pecking order behind Tyreek Hill. Although Hill and tight end Travis Kelce will continue to soak in the majority of Patrick Mahomes’ targets.
