VCU dominated George Washington on both ends of the court in this one and had no trouble securing the victory after going into halftime with a 42-22 lead. VCU shot 47.1% from the field & 43.5% from beyond the arc while holding George Washington to 36.7% shooting from the field & 31.3% from beyond the arc. Leading the way for the Rams was Adrian Baldwin Jr. who had 16 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, & 2 steals.

Defensively, VCU is holding their opponents to an average of 57.1 ppg on 37.1% shooting from the field. The Rams have a rebound margin of -2.5 and a turnover margin of 2.9.

The St. Bonaventure Bonnies snapped a 2-game losing streak and improved to 9-3 on the season after defeating the Lasalle Explorers, 80-76 (OT), this past Tuesday. St. Bonaventure fought back from a 61-51 deficit with just 8:57 left in regulation to force OT and had no trouble picking up the win in OT after 76-70 lead. St. Bonaventure shot 42.9% from the field & 40.0% from beyond the arc while allowing LaSalle to shoot 40.8% from the field & 32.4% from beyond the arc. Leading the way for the Bonnies was Osun Osunniyi who had a double-double with 15 points, 15 rebounds, 2 assists, 4 blocks, & 1 steal.

On the season, St. Bonaventure is averaging 72.2 ppg on 44.8% shooting from the field. The Bonnies are averaging 6.6 three-pointers per game on 33.9% shooting from beyond the arc. Offensively, St. Bonaventure has been led by Jaren Holmes (15.9 ppg, 6.5 rpg, 4.4 apg, 1.1 spg), Kyle Lofton (15.9 ppg, 3.8 rpg, 5.8 apg, 1.4 spg), Jalen Adaway (13.5 ppg, 7.5 rpg), & Dominick Welch (11.7 ppg, 5.6 rpg, 1.8 apg, 1.3 spg).

The Rams are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games and 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games vs. A-10 opponents. The Bonnies are 0-7 ATS in their last 7 games and 0-5 ATS in their last 5 home games.

VCU has been led by their outstanding defense which comes into this game ranked 6th in both scoring defense & defensive FG%, however, the Rams have struggled to put points up on the board and currently rank just t-318th in scoring offense, 216th in FG%, & 246th in 3P-FG%. St. Bonaventure has been nothing more than average on both ends of the court this season and come into this game ranked just 175th in scoring offense, 153rd in FG%, & 192nd in scoring defense.

St. Bonaventure has a bunch of talent, however, the Bonnies just haven’t lived up to expectations so far this season and it’s not encouraging to see that they had to fight back to beat LaSalle in OT earlier this week. VCU has looked great recently, which includes an impressive win at Dayton, and between the fact that the Rans have Adrian Baldwin Jr. back in the lineup and that I think their depth & defensive pressure will run the Bonnies down as the game goes on, I’m taking VCU and the points. Good Luck!
