Adams tried to play through his toe injury against the Denver Nuggets on April 28 but only put up two points, one rebound, and two assists in nearly 13 minutes of playing time.

Willy Hernangomez has started all three games in which Adams hasn’t been available and has fared well. Hernangomez is averaging 31.3 FanDuel Fantasy Points per game over his last three starts, putting up at least 29.4 fantasy points in all three games. Hernangomez is averaging a double-double in the starting lineup, scoring 10.4 points and grabbing 11.6 rebounds per game in five starts.

Monday night’s encounter is critical to the Pelicans’ playoff chances as they try and catch the Warriors, who are three games up on them in the Western Conference standings.
