Wales vs. Switzerland 6/12/21 Euro Cup 2021 Soccer Pick, Odds, and Prediction

Wales and Switzerland are playing at Baku Olympic Stadium in the second game of round 1 in Group A in the Euro Cup 2021. Wales has been struggling with scoring goals lately, and their defense is not as good as it used to be. Switzerland is on a 5-game winning streak, and they are in great form ahead of this game.

Wales hasn’t won any of their last 2 friendly games, and they failed to score a goal in both of those games. In their last game against Albania, Wales has had 58% of ball possession, 2 shots on goal, and 4 corner kicks, but Wales couldn’t score a goal despite having a few good chances. This game has ended in a 0-0 draw. Wales has qualified for the Euro Cup from the second spot in their group, and that was a huge success for them, but having Bale and Ramsey on the roster is just not enough for Wales to make an impact in this tournament. This will be a tough group for Wales, and honestly, I just don’t see them getting to second place because both Turkey and Switzerland are better teams, but you never know in these major competitions.

During their 5-game winning streak, Switzerland was impressive on both ends, especially in the attacking end where they scored 16 goals while conceding only 4 goals. Switzerland has beaten some respectful teams during this time, and I gotta say, I’m impressed with how well they are playing. In their last match, Switzerland was playing against Liechtenstein at home, and it wasn’t even a competition. Switzerland was fantastic in this match, and they have won this game 7-0. Switzerland is a well-balanced team led by Shaqiri, Xhaka, Akanji, and Rodriguez who are all experienced players with a lot of games on their feet. I think Switzerland is good enough to win second place in this group, especially if they can keep their offense as effective as it is right now. The biggest problem for Switzerland will be Turkey who is in their quality rank, but Switzerland is in good form, they have a good coach, good players, and I think they will win that second place that will take them to the next stage.

Wales and Switzerland have played 4 games against each other, and Switzerland has won 3 of those 4 games while Wales won one game. Neither of those games was in a major competition, but Switzerland is in better form, they are the better team, and I think they will win this match, and I see goals being scored here.
