Blake Griffin to Sign with Brooklyn Nets

Blake Griffin has cleared waivers and will reportedly sign with the Brooklyn Nets.

Griffin, a six-time All-Star, last played for the Detroit Pistons on February 12. Since then, he’s been working on a contract buy-out before eventually clearing waivers. Griffin is averaging 12.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 3.9 assists on the season.

With Kevin Durant, DeAndre Jordan, and Joe Harris, already patrolling the frontcourt, Brooklyn will need to find a way to work Griffin into their rotation. But too much depth is a good problem to have, particularly as we head into the post-season stretch run.

The Nets are +300 on the NBA Finals futures board at FanDuel Sportsbook.
